Have 8 year old boy/girl twins.“ Coaches Notes: Ash is a fun and passionate athlete and somehow manages to train super hard doing so with a smile. We think he might be missing the “pain gene”!

What races are you currently signed up for?:  Ironman Chatt '2019, Challenge Roth '2020

Number of years as a Tristar Athlete and years in endurance sports: Ash has been racing and involved in endurance sports for over 20yrs.

Current training tactics: “Shifting power curve to the right”. Ash has been working on raising his bike game to indirectly raise his total triathlon speed and importantly run potential.

racing history and accomplishments: “Competed in my first HIM in 2010. However, did my first triathlon back in '99. This will be my first full IM since Texas '15 when I endured a 110 heat index day out on the course. Best day out was IM Cairns '14 where everything came together leading up to and on the day. Qualified by HIM Worlds last year but was taken out on a training ride in July, which was a season ender. IM Chatt is a do-over race and hoping I've mostly returned to full fitness.”

  • racing history and accomplishments: Best 70.3 finish is a 5:45. I would love to go sub 5:30.

  • Your favorite training, camp or racing memory: Mountains to Beach marathon last year, great course and finished the course with a negative, feeling fresh, and a smile on the dial which is a rarity for me in marathons
